Time to pay it forward!

Everything we start out to do is something we think is going to be awesome, right?  It has to be or otherwise we would never get started at all.   The problem is we start out great but we tend to lose forward motion.  We stumble, we fall and sometimes we stay down longer than we should.  It isn't really a failure unless we allow it to be.  We always have the ability to stand back up and get back on the path.

I tend to be one that does reviews..... often and thoroughly!  I look at everything I've done, everything I'm doing and everything I have planned.  I'm constantly fine tuning but I always have a plan!  The plan might need to be altered some as each day goes by but I've found having a plan is a must if you expect to be successful with anything.

With years under my belt in the industry, I've decided to pull out all of the journals, all of the reviews, all of the good, the bad, the awesome and yes, even the ugly!  I'm going to be sharing it all with whoever wants to learn from it.  It won't all be pretty and it is not going to be the sugar coated!  It will include what I've found works and what I've found you better steer clear of.  I'll even share some of the truly ridiculously stupid things I tried early on in the industry with you so you can avoid them or if you too have done them.... we can laugh about it together!

You see it isn't about being a guru.  Nope, you can find a million of self-proclaimed guru's online and most of them are ready and willing to take your money in exchange for "teaching" you how to be just like them.  I have zero interest in that gig!  This is about sharing and giving back to an industry I love.  My goal is for you find even one little tidbit that helps you succeed.

I will be including some guest contributors who I've found to have some great knowledge worth sharing with you.  I've found there are many, many great marketers with great things to share so I want to include as many as I can in the newsletters.

Expect this to be an ongoing journey and one that will benefit you IF you continue along with me!  Feel free to contact me if you feel you have something to add.  I might just feature you in one of the newsletters!  I'm giving it all away..... free and no strings attached.  No gimmicks, no irritating pitches...... free and free to share!  Only thing I ask of you is if you have something to share, you share it too! 

Yes... but

How many times in your life have you said "yes, but"? 

 You see something you like but you instantly talk yourself out of it.  It might be simply something you want to purchase or maybe its something you'd like to do.  OR, maybe its an opportunity.  And right after the comment you come up with a list of every excuse or reason under the sun to not buy it, not do it, or not go for it!  Right?  Been there?  I know I have and unless it is a purchase that does not fit my finances at that time, I ALWAYS end up regretting the "but"! 

The thing is, there are times when talking ourselves down is a good thing.  If it is going to wreck our finances or harm us... talking ourselves out of it is a good thing.  However, if it is an opportunity and you are saying "but" due to a previous failure, a friends opinion, or other excuses you have going on in your mind...... that little word is a THIEF! 

Yep, you read right.... it robs you of the very opportunity that could change your life and in a very good way!  Is every opportunity a good one?  Of course not but closing your mind to all of them because of a few bad apples is one of the worst things you can possibly do. 

Take time to check things out.  Try to do so with an open mind.  Imagine the possibilities instead of instantly assuming the worst.  You just might find that something is out here just waiting for you that will change your life in a good way or simply add some joy into your life.  You won't know if you allow "but" to stand in your way! 

My life changed in a big way when I finally learned to look a little bit deeper and do so without the distraction of everyone else.  YOU have all that you need to make good choices!  Trust yourself a little! 

Overdue!

I'm in the process of fine tuning and realize I have so many things over due!  Can any of you relate?  This blog is one of them.  Neglected and gathering dust.  Yes, I am guilty of not doing the upkeep on this one!  Those of you that have followed me will note I've made a big change over the past year!  It wasn't a change I was looking for but when I found out about this....... it was like every single thing I've done was simply the training ground for what I'm supposed to do for the long term.  So yes folks, you'll notice I am building with a new company, a company that has all of my heart.  This time, its more about the mission and this time....... I have a plan I can truly work with in a way that will massively help those that are ready to come with me! 

Its funny, we all start out with great intentions but then life sometimes gets in the way and all of sudden a few things become dust collectors.  And then, the cleaning process begins!  But, where do you begin?  Do you throw it out?  Do you clean it up and freshen it?  Hmmm... I suppose that answer will be different for each person but for me....... I'm cleaning it up and refreshing it!  

My crazy mind just won't let this one die because as I watch people on social media, I realize that this blog is one that needs to stay.  This blog is one I need to get my tail in gear on and keep up.  This blog........ needs to help someone.  Not sure if that is you or maybe just writing it will help me but either way, I think a benefit is here.

I'm not one to accept failure as a bad thing.  The truth is, failure is actually one of the best teachers we will ever have.  I've had a few failures in my life and at the time it was definitely NOT enjoyable but the aftermath brought me many lessons which are valuable beyond words.  You see those lessons helped me reach success.  Those lessons helped me learn and grow.  And I consider that a HUGE success!  

There is one failure that I do recognize and that is when one fails to learn from their experiences or when one fails to try again.  That my friends a huge failure and one I truly hope you never experience.  I've never failed to stand back up and try again but I know many have.  I will simply remind you if your dream was worth dreaming.... its worth trying again!  Just take the lessons learned forward and go for it!

Yes, the years have taught me so much.  I'm grateful for that!  The years led me to where I am today so even the losses are something I love.  I'm finally at the point in my life that I'm building my last team, my legacy so to speak.  It feels good!  I'm excited about it and of course I'm using all of the lessons learned from the past to make this last venture, my best!

2014, is it your year?

It's here!  2014! 

 Time to get started making it the best year of your life, right?

But, how are you going to do that?  What is it you really want this year to include?  If you haven't given it plenty of thought already, you better do it fast!  

It's really easy to wish, to dream, to hope but the hard truth is if you don't have a clear plan chances are 2014 will be pretty much the same as 2013 and every year before that.  Now, I don't say that to be a negative nelly!  No, I say that from experience.  I say that because I want you to have the best year of your life!  And I know that in order to have this be the best year, you have to make some changes!

Change can be hard but it doesn't have to be.  If you make a plan, a REAL plan.... you can simply follow your plan.  Yes, it really is that easy!  The hard part can be choosing the plan and then taking action.  That is where most people stumble.  They have big dreams, they have hope, they lack a plan!

I've been there.  Big dreams, high hopes, no plan and guess what it got me?  Nothing!  Absolutely nothing!  It took me years to figure out where the real problem was.  I truly thought there was some magical thing I was missing.  Turns out there was.  It was none other than ME!  

You see, it was hard for me to face the fact that the one thing (the only thing) really causing me to stumble and fail was ME!  Yep, I thought I had all the answers.  I thought bad luck had me in a noose.  I thought circumstances held me back.  I thought and I thought and I though but when I finally faced up to the big ME factor, life began to change.  In a very good way!  

Maybe that hits home with you?  If so, pay attention! 

Hard cold fact....... if you want to have more, you must become more!  You must learn, you must improve, you must get out of your own way!  I don't care how successful you may have been so far.... if you want more, become more!  Its that simple.  It really is.

A bit aggravating to have it in your face isn't it?  Ya, I thought so too at one time.  Not anymore!  Now, I totally appreciate the fact that I truly control my own future.  I am beyond grateful that I finally faced that fact myself and took the first step needed to set myself in the right direction!

Has it paid off?  Does it continue to pay off?  HECK YES!

I am now the forever student!  I learn daily, I always will and by continually improving myself I'm finding my life continually improves and does so in big ways.  I'm excited about today, tomorrow and every day thereafter because I know they will be the best of the best.

Duh moments!

I think we all have "duh" moments in our life.  You know, those times when the answer or path was right in front of us but for whatever reason we just didn't see it?  I've experienced plenty of "duh" moments in my life! The funny thing is, I really don't regret any of them now.  Oh I did at the time but not now.  Now, I realize that every "duh" moment of my life has led me to better things.  Without all those "duh" moments, I may not have learned, I may not have grown, I may have just stayed oblivious to the things that would help me.

Sometimes I think I just might hold the record for silly mistakes but if so, the truth is I appreciate that!  I'm one of those people that believe learning is something we should continue to do our entire life.  It isn't something that can be accomplished and checked off your to do list.  It is ongoing because you can always, always learn something new! 

The reality is "duh" moments should be celebrated because they mark a moment in your life that you find yourself saying "duh" because you just discovered something great.  You just realized something you didn't know before!  Yes, "duh" moments are priceless!  

Even better than having your own "duh" moment is sharing that experience with others!  So next time you have your own "duh" moment, take a minute to say thank you!  Take a minute to share!

Can one company have it all?

Many in the direct sales industry struggle to find success and decide to spread out and join multiple companies.  Their thought of course is to earn a little from each and hope that the "little" from each added together will bring them the income they are looking for.

The reality is, when you spread yourself out you are thinning your chances for success!  Is it possible to do okay with more than one company, yes.  Is it likely? NO!

I admit, I once was one that believed in having my hands in more than one thing.  I told myself it was for security reasons but the real truth is, I had yet to find a company I felt deserving of all of my attention! 

No more!  I now work with a company that I believe truly does have everything anyone could possibly want or need for success.  It has been 25+ years in coming but folks, I'm thrilled to say I am 100% focused on Nerium International!  

What is it that this company has that finally has me focusing on one thing for the remainder of my career?  Honestly, everything!  The integrity and heart of this company is beyond anything I've ever seen before.  The product is amazing, exclusive and in demand.  The systems are here.  The leadership is here.  The compensation is excellent and the long term plan for this company is well planned.  This is the one that is most definitely deserving of full focus! 

While I normally keep this blog somewhat generic..... I feel it is time to tell you yes, one company can have it all and I've found the company that does!

Is it really that simple?

If any of you are in network marketing or have any other home business you might have been led to tune into the movie "The Secret".  If so, you might also be wondering if it really is that simple?  Simply focus on what you want rather than what you lack and you will find life begins to turn around.

Sounds a little nutty, right?  Well, not so!  The truth is, it is absolutely true and has been proven over and over again by almost every single millionaire worldwide! Honestly, the only reason some deny this truth is because they don't understand it!

When you open your mailbox to find a new stack of bills that your bank account cannot support it is hard to focus on money being abundant so what do most people do?  They begin to focus on less bills!  Big mistake!  You see focusing on "bills" in any manner puts "bills" out to the universe and what does the universe do?  It responds accordingly!  And you see more bills!  Frustrating, huh?

You really, really need to re-watch the movie and pay attention!  Close attention!  You will learn that using the secret in your life is simple but while you are getting the hang of it, it might be a bit challenging for you.  You'll also learn that it is not about wishful thinking!  No, your consistent effort is required!  There are no shortcuts and work is required!

If truly having the life of your dreams is something you seriously want, then learning the secret is a must!  It is not hocus pocus like some might think.  It has zero to do with wishing, wanting, begging.  It has everything to do with focus!

Watch it again!  Then watch it again!  Honestly, watch it several times per week! Learning this can change your life in a big way and even better it can change the lives of everyone around you!

What is the secret to success?  Step one is believing!  Step two is taking action!  Step three is continuing on!  And step four?  Repeat steps 1-3 every single day!

Yes folks, it really is that simple!
